General Questions

Riders of any age can rent a standard bicycle. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. A $50 credit card deposit is required, or $350 when using a debit card.

Insurance is not mandatory, but a $25/day Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is available and strongly recommended.

Security deposits must be paid by credit or debit card. Debit cards require a higher deposit. Cash is not accepted for the deposit.

Licensing & Age Requirements

No license is required. A government-issued photo ID or passport is sufficient for the renter or guardian.

Riders must be at least 18, or 16 with a guardian present and a signed rental agreement.

A child seat may be attached only to the Lectric Cargo E-Bike. The child must weigh 45 pounds or less.

Vehicle Specs & Operation

Up to 25 MPH using throttle assist.

Typical range is 20 to 50 miles, depending on terrain, rider weight, and throttle versus pedal assist use.

All e-bikes have pedal assist. Select models, including the Cargo and Pop Star, also feature a twist throttle.

Yes. Front and rear LED lights and a lock with key are included.

Weight limits: Pop Star 330 lb; Beach Star, City Star, Trail Star 300 lb; All Star 290 lb; Lectric Cargo 450 lb.

Passenger Policy

Most e-bikes are single rider. The Lectric Cargo E-Bike can support a rear child seat for passengers up to 45 lb.

No. Tow-behind trailers are not allowed on e-bikes.

Road Usage

E-bikes are rated for city streets and mixed-terrain routes. Google Maps routes are provided. Avoid restricted trails and private property without permission.

Ride only on approved e-bike paths. Riding on sand will void LDW coverage.

Only the All Star, Beach Star, and City Star models are suited for public transit.

Battery Charging & Maintenance

No. E-bikes start fully charged and typically last the entire day.

Yes. Chargers and battery keys are included for multi-day rentals.

Add‑Ons and Equipment

Helmet, lock and key, printed map, and a Google Maps route link.

Phone mounts, speakers, front baskets, panniers, roadside kits, and water bottle holders are available for a small fee.

Child seats and trailers are only available for standard bikes and are classified as $5 ride enhancements.

Insurance & Coverage

LDW includes a $50 damage deductible. Theft deductibles: $350 for standard bikes, $500 for premium bikes, $750 for standard e-bikes, and $1,500 for premium e-bikes. LDW includes tire coverage and 10-mile-radius roadside assistance.

Yes. If the bike is totaled due to water or other damage, the renter is only responsible for the deductible under the LDW.

Pickup & Return

No. After-hours returns are not available for e-bikes.

No. All bikes must be returned to our single location in Hawaii.

Cleaning & Damage

No cleaning is required. We take care of it for you.

Call our support team. Tire repairs are covered under LDW. Without LDW, the renter is responsible for labor and tire replacement costs.

Pricing & Discounts

Yes. We offer discounted 3-day, weekly, and monthly rental rates.

No. We do not apply holiday or peak-season surcharges.

Safety & Emergencies

Yes. Helmets are required for riders under 18. For those 18 and older, helmet use is optional but highly recommended. Helmets are included with your rental.

Call 911 if needed, then contact GoGo Rental to file a report and arrange support.

Yes. If you have LDW, pickups beyond 10 miles cost $25. Without LDW, pickups range from $50 to $75 based on distance.
