Scooter Rental Details
Requirements
Slingshot renters must be at least 25 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and place a $1,000 security deposit on a major credit card at the time of rental.
Insurance
We offer various insurance upgrade options for enhanced protection. For detailed terms, please refer to our Slingshot Coverage Options.
Included with Rental
Every car rental comes with comprehensive insurance, 24/7 roadside assistance, and a free map to navigate the island. We ensure all vehicles are rigorously checked and cleaned before each rental.
Road usage
There are no road restrictions for our Slingshots, allowing you to explore all that Waikiki and its surroundings have to offer. We provide a map with recommended routes via Google Maps to help you find the best scenic spots.
Vehicle features
Our Slingshots are equipped with a roof, Bluetooth audio for your personal soundtrack, and two storage compartments for your convenience. Enjoy a stylish and functional ride.
Passenger Policy
Each Slingshot can comfortably accommodate one passenger in addition to the driver, perfect for exploring Waikiki with a companion.
NO Call, NO Show Policy
In the event of a no call, no show, or tardiness in picking up your rental, you are required to contact us within 2 hours after the scheduled pickup time. Failure to do so will result in the release of the rental, making it available for others to rent.
Note: This policy is also included in the rental agreement that customers sign at the time of booking.

To ensure a seamless rental experience, we provide a range of coverage options tailored to safeguard both you and your Polaris Slingshot. From essential protection to all-inclusive coverage, our plans are designed to meet diverse needs and ensure peace of mind. Below, you’ll find detailed descriptions of our available coverage plans for Slingshots, including policies on flat tires and roadside assistance.
Loss Damage Waiver
- Cost: $35/Day
- Minor Damage Responsibility: Limits financial responsibility to $500.00 USD
- Major Damage or Theft Responsibility: Up to $1,000.00 USD
- Personal Insurance: If personal insurance is used, the renter is responsible for damage costs at the time of return, then seeks reimbursement through their insurance company
- Flat Tire Coverage: Not included
- Roadside Assistance: Not included
Flat Tire Policy
Tires on all of our vehicles are changed at or before the wear reaches 20% of a new tire. In addition, all tire pressures are checked prior to any rental. Therefore, any blowout or flat tire that occurs during a rental becomes your financial responsibility. You may reduce that exposure through our coverages offered below. Please, no shoulder riding.
No Flat Tire Coverage
Renter is liable for the full cost of labor and repair, as well as the full price of a new tire should total tire damage occur.
Flat Tire Coverage
Covers tire repair and labor costs. In the event of total tire damage, the renter is only liable for half the value of the replacement tire.
24/7 Roadside Assistance
Upkeep and maintenance of our rental fleet are performed consistently on a daily basis, with an in-house mechanic. However, unforeseen circumstances or incidents may occur during any rental. In such cases, the customer will be held responsible for the entire amount of the tow if the coverage with Roadside Assistance is not selected.
No Roadside Assistance
Renter is liable for the full cost of towing, pickup, and/or service fees as needed. These fees vary from $25-$75 for mopeds and scooters but can be much higher for motorcycles.
Roadside Assistance
Renter is given access to a third-party towing service to use if needed. This is included in select coverage options.
