General Questions

Be 21 or older, have a valid driver’s license with a motorcycle or scooter endorsement, and place a $350 security deposit on a major credit card. If using a debit card, the deposit will be $500.

Liability insurance is not required with a credit card, but we strongly recommend opting into one of our coverage options to limit your financial responsibility.

Yes, with passport + motorcycle‑class license and the same deposit/age rules.

You can pay for the rental with cash, debit, or credit card, but the security deposit must be placed on a card. Deposits made with a debit card may require a higher amount.

A full M1 motorcycle endorsement is required. Learner’s permits are not accepted.

Passenger Policy

One driver plus one passenger (two riders total).

In Hawaii, passengers must be at least 9 years old and wear a full-face DOT-approved helmet.

Road Usage

There are no restrictions for scooters

Use legal motorcycle or scooter parking, or marked street parking. Do not block sidewalks or driveways.

Yes, scooters ride in regular traffic lanes like a car.

There are no nightly curfews for scooter use.

Insurance & Coverage

Basic LDW is $25/day and includes a $100 damage deductible and $1,000 deductible for theft or total loss. It does not include tire or roadside assistance. Premium LDW is $35/day and includes zero damage deductible, a $500 theft deductible, tire coverage, and 24/7 roadside assistance.

Each moped rental includes one helmet. Storage trunks are available for scooters, but not for mopeds. Trunks can be added for $5. Rain ponchos are not currently available.

No, LDW only covers vehicle damage. It does not include medical liability.

Add‑Ons and Equipment

DOT helmet, lock & chain, full tank of gas, printed map, Google‑Maps route link, safety orientation.

Each rental includes two helmets at no extra cost. You may add premium helmets, phone mounts, or storage packs for $5 each.

Fuel & Maintenance

Yes, return with the same fuel level (92 premium) or pay a refill fee of $35

You should use 92 premium.

Pickup & Return

3‑5 business days after an undamaged return.

After-hours return is available with liability insurance ($25 or $35/day) and an added fee: $25 for scooters or mopeds, $35 for motorcycles.

A $25 late fee applies for each hour after your scheduled return time. For returns at 4:30 PM, there is a 15-minute grace period before after-hours or full-day charges apply.

Cleaning & Damage

We wash the bike for you upon return.

No, there are not.

Safety & Emergencies

Yes, helmets are mandatory and included with every rental. In Hawaii, helmet use is not required by law for moped riders, but we strongly encourage all renters to wear one.

Call 911 if necessary, then contact GoGo Rental to report the incident and arrange towing.

If you do not select LDW or roadside coverage, you are responsible for towing costs out of pocket. Roadside assistance is available for $10/day as an add-on.
