Cuyuna State Recreation Area (Off-Road Biking) experience
Arguably the best place to ride fat bikes almost any time of year, the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area features a whopping 20 miles of groomed fat-bike trails. The snowy singletrack will have you hooting and hollering as you ride over the easy to advanced trails. That’s not to mention the amazing scenery offered by an area that was once dominated by an iron-ore mining operation. If you’re looking for some competition, the Cuyuna trail system also play host to the 45NRTH Whiteout fat bike race, which brings in some of the best riders from around the region. Camping is available at the Portsmouth Campground. The campground is located on the northwest shore of Portsmouth Mine Lake. The campground has both shaded sites and open, grassy sites. 18 electric and 17 non-electric sites are available for camping during the regular camping season. All campsites require reservations. Campers need to self register at the campground.
Detroit Lakes (Hiking, Biking, Kayaks) experience
4-Season Recreation Area in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. During the winter season Detroit Mountain is home to the SCHEELS Terrain Park with it's many features and jumps to test the abilities of Skier and Snowboarders and has it's own high speed tow rope. Detroit Mountain has 21 runs to explore with 2 triple chairlifts and 2 Magic Carpets in the Learn to Ski and Ride area featuring Terrain Based Learning. DM also hosts the Landslide Tubing Park with it's own Magic Carpet. The beautiful lodge with a cafe with a variety of food options and the Ace's Wild Bar is perfect for Apres Ski socializing. DMRA also grooms 15k of nordic ski trails. In the Summer Months, Detroit Mountain Recreation Area features professionally designed mountain biking trails. Enjoy XC contour flow trails, lift accessed downhill gravity trails, a skills park, Strider Adventure Zone and more! Trek bikes for rent. Fat Bikes are also available for Winter Rental.

- Lindenwood Campground is one of the finest campgrounds in the Upper Midwest. The campground is conveniently located just off I-94, Exit 351 in Fargo for easy entrance for travelers. The heavily wooded campsite is nestled along the Red River, adding to the "wilderness feeling" of Lindenwood Park. Campground conveniences include paved drive, electricity, picnic tables, running water, fire pits, showers, restrooms, playground facilities, and bike trails. Plus, 47 campsites are provided with water and electricity. Believe me this place is breathtaking in every aspect.

The unique town of Medora is the start of the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. This old town is full of fun attractions and primitive camping!
