Located just outside the Fargo/Moorhead area, the M.B. Johnson Trail is a great trail for beginners, kids and bicyclist alike. This short trail can has a few short climbs and descends with unique features. The trail is labeled as an Easy/Intermediate trail. Trail can be ridden many times and can be a great workout close to town!

Paul Bunyan Trail

The Paul Bunyan Trail is a great place for your next Minnesota family vacation! If you enjoy biking than this is for you, with 120 miles of continuous paved bike path. The Paul Bunyan Trail starts at the Crow Wing State Park and finishes at Lake Bemidji State Park. The trail has great features for everything outdoors year around! Forum Tower Loop Trail (Mountain Biking)

The Forum Tower Loop is currently the newest trail from the Fargo Moorhead Trailbuilders. The trail is a 1 mile loop that is a moderate rating. This trail goes along the red river and around the Forum Tower! Mostly wooded area with a good mix of short climbs that follow with sending you right back down into the woods! This trail is great for mountain biking, hiking, running and snowshoeing! 

You can also make it a longer ride, connecting the Iwen north, south and forum loop to make a 7 mile total ride! Make sure if you are on a bike that you are going counter clockwise on the trails!

Iwen Park

Iwen park, located in Fargo, is a great place to get outdoors and do many activities! They have two disc golf courses, mountain bike trails, cross country ski trails and a boat launch into the red river! Iwen parks boasts its scenic views and wildlife in a natural setting alongside the Red River.

Iwen Park North Bike Trail (Mountain Biking)

Iwen Parks North Bike Trail is an easy 4 mile trail in Fargo! The trail connects Iwen Park to Lions Conservancy Park and runs through wooded areas to create a trail that should be suitable for most riders. Alongside the Red River, there is sure to be some great views and wildlife roaming!

Iwen Park South Bike Trail (Mountain Biking)

This a short and fun winding trail. Located at Iwen park in Fargo, this 2 mile trail is a great workout with on and off accelerations and some tight tree spots. This is one of the most popular trails in the Fargo/Moorhead area and is rated as moderate.

Jamestown Reservoir Trail (Biking)

This is an easy, paved trail that goes along the Jamestown Reservoir! The trail is about a mile long and can lead to other trails. Great for biking, walking or running!

Maah Daah Hey Trail

The Maah Daah Hey Trail is loaded with amazing scenery and home to many different wildlife. Located in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, this 144-mile main trail connects through the Badlands, Theodore Roosevelt National park and the Old West town of Medora. The trail is open to hikers, bicyclists and horseback riders. This trail is ranked as intermediate/difficult but their are plenty of different trails to explore! Seasonal guided tours are offered through Dakota Cyclery Mountain Bike Adventures.

North Ridge Trail (Mountain Biking)

Looking for a challenging, nature filled trail? Check out the North Ridge Trail is Jamestown, North Dakota! This 6 mile one way trail, starts with an overlook of the Pipestem Dam and brings you down, through the woods to the lake shore! Make sure to have your sunscreen and water as they trail will challenge you till the finish!

Overlook Trail (Mountain Biking/Hiking)

Along side the Jamestown Reservoir, this trail is sure to challenge you on a bike or hiking! With a lot of ups and downs, you get to the wonderful scenic overlook spot and can see the reservoir for miles down the way. This trail is a 3 mile loop, with great scenic views and challenging obstacles. Bring water, sunscreen and have a great hike or bike!

Pipestem Creek Trail (Mountain Biking)

Looking for a challenging trail? Pipestem Creek Trail is an 8 mile loop just outside of Jamestown, North Dakota. This heart pumping trail is full of scenic views, as it brings you in and out of the woods and along the Pipestem Creek! If you are looking for little less of a challenge, try the outer 3 mile loop! This trail is good for a challenging mountain bike ride, hiking or even an off the road run!
